Great Althea, certainly among my favorite recordings of that song. I can jive with the bootleg feel, though I understand the issues with quality. In the scheme of things, though, I can take the quality with a grain of salt, given that Jerry's guitar riff after the first verse is THE most blistering and awesome I have heard of any althea. Sure, there are some better recordings, but that riff is worth the bootleg sound. (rating would be about 2.5/5 were it not for that awe-inspiring guitar lick.)

An ok show. It was billed as the "15th anniversary" show. On a Boulder radio station after the show, Weir was asked about this and said "it means nothing to me -- we've played for 15 years, we'll play another 15 years." Prescient.

great show. but honestly it sounds like a bootleg i would have tossed onto the floor of my 1st tour car.

Much finer and cleaner sounding shows to be had .
enjoy the ride.

Get it just for the Ramble On Rose. I saw another source from this show on dimeadozen.org but was unable to get it. This one will do just fine.
